1. Overview

Rupivo (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free financial calculator service operated by Codynex Technology. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit rupivo.in, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to handling your data with care and transparency.

By using Rupivo, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Information we do NOT collect

The most important thing to understand about Rupivo is what we do not collect:

• Calculator inputs are never sent to our servers. Every number you enter — your income, investment amount, loan principal, tax deductions, purchase price, sale price — is processed entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. No calculation data is transmitted to or stored on our servers at any point.
• We do not require registration to use any calculator. You can use all eight free calculators without creating an account, providing an email address, or sharing any personal information.
• We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any information about you to third parties for commercial purposes.

3. Information we DO collect

3.1 Analytics data (anonymous)

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate data about how visitors use the site. This helps us understand which calculators are most useful and how to improve the experience. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• The calculator tools you open (but not the numbers you enter)
• General geographic region (country / city level, not precise location)
• Device type (mobile, tablet, desktop) and browser
• Referring website (how you found us)

This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish returning visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3.2 Account data (optional — Rupivo Pro users only)

If you choose to create a Rupivo Pro account, we collect and store:

• Your email address (used for login via magic link or password)
• Your Pro subscription status and the date of purchase (to verify your upgrade and restore access across devices)
• Payment reference ID from Razorpay (we do not store your card or bank details — those are handled entirely by Razorpay)

Account data is stored securely in Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL database with row-level security). We use this data only to authenticate you and to restore your Pro status. We do not use your email address for marketing without your explicit consent.

3.3 Payment data

Rupivo Pro payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We never see, store, or handle your credit or debit card number, UPI ID, or net banking credentials. Razorpay’s privacy policy governs how payment data is handled during checkout.

4. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to count page views and distinguish sessions. These are non-essential and can be blocked via your browser settings or the Google opt-out tool.
• Authentication cookies — set only if you sign in to a Rupivo Pro account, to keep your session active. These are strictly necessary for the login feature to function.
• Preference cookies — we may store your calculator preferences (such as the last tax regime selected) in your browser’s local storage. This data never leaves your device.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect the functionality of any calculator.

5. Google AdSense and advertising

Rupivo may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Rupivo Pro subscribers do not see advertisements.

6. Third-party links and affiliate content

Some pages on Rupivo include clearly labelled affiliate links to third-party services such as tax-filing platforms, investment platforms, and financial service providers. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase or sign up, we may receive a commission. This never affects our calculator results or editorial recommendations.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit through a link from Rupivo.

7. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we do hold:

• All traffic to rupivo.in is encrypted via HTTPS / TLS.
• Account data is stored in Supabase with row-level security policies that prevent one user from accessing another user’s data.
• Server-side secrets (database keys, payment keys) are stored as environment variables and never exposed in client-side code.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we will notify affected users promptly in the event of a data breach involving personal information.

8. Data retention

We retain account data (email, Pro status) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or accounting purposes (typically 7 years for financial transaction records under Indian tax law).

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
• Opt-out of analytics — block Google Analytics cookies via your browser or the Google opt-out tool.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through the Rupivo website. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children’s privacy

Rupivo is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Rupivo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
